What a great way to start the day with a Paleo breakfast idea that will remind you of oatmeal but without all the nasty health effects!

Grain Free Oatmeal Recipe
Oatmeal is one of those things that I dearly missed since going Paleo and this is the closest I have come to recreating that!
I opt for local berries and nuts whatever is in season. Almond butter or coconut butter is your friend
This is a great paleo breakfast idea that you can prepare very easily.
This recipe makes 2 servings. Has a prep time of about 10 minutes and 5 minutes cooking time. .
The whole dish for 2 servings contains
1 handful Pecans
1 handful walnuts
2 tbsp ground flax seeds
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 pinch nutmeg
1 pinch ground ginger
1 tbsp almond butter
1 banana mashed
1/4 cup coconut milk
1 handful berries
Extra cinnamon to garnish
- Process walnuts, pecans, flax seeds and spices in a food processor till coarse
- Whisk eggs, coconut milk until a bit thick. Now add banana, almond butter and combine
- Combine both the above mixtures in a saucepan on low heat. Stir often.
- Serve in a bowl with berries and garnish with cinnamon.
